The Lewis Model, developed by sociologist Edward T. Hall Lewis, describes different cultural communication styles and behaviors. It categorizes cultures into three types: Linear-active, Multi-active, and Reactive. Linear-active cultures value order, schedules, and facts, often prioritizing tasks. Multi-active cultures are more people-oriented, favoring emotional expressiveness and relationships over strict planning. Reactive cultures focus on listening and responding, valuing harmony and respect in communication.
