Law of the Conservation of Energy

The Law of the Conservation of Energy states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. For example, when you eat food, your body converts the chemical energy in food into energy for movement, heat, and activity. In a closed system, the total amount of energy remains constant, although it may change forms—like converting potential energy to kinetic energy when a ball rolls down a hill. This principle is fundamental in understanding how energy behaves in physics, chemistry, and many everyday phenomena.
