Work
Work is the process of transferring energy to an object by applying a force that causes movement in the direction of the force. In everyday terms, when you push, pull, or lift something, you're doing work if the object moves as a result. Mathematically, work equals the force applied multiplied by the distance moved in the direction of that force. It’s a way to measure how much effort is used to accomplish a task, whether generating mechanical motion, powering engines, or completing physical activities.
