Lasers

Lasers produce a focused beam of light where all the light waves are in sync, or coherent. This coherence allows the light to stay narrow and intense over long distances. Lasers work by exciting atoms or molecules in a medium (like gas, liquid, or solid) so they emit light; when this emission is amplified within a cavity, a powerful, precise beam emerges. Lasers are used in numerous applications, including medical surgeries, communication, manufacturing, and everyday devices like barcode scanners and laser pointers. Their unique ability to produce a concentrated, controlled beam makes them a versatile and valuable technology.
