Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical technique that allows doctors to perform operations inside the abdomen using small incisions rather than a large open cut. A thin, flexible tube with a camera, called a laparoscope, is inserted through one incision, providing a view of the organs. Surgical instruments are inserted through additional small incisions to carry out the procedure. This method typically results in less pain, shorter recovery times, and fewer complications compared to traditional surgery, making it a preferred option for various abdominal conditions, including gallbladder removal and hernia repair.
