Lal Bahadur Shastri was the Prime Minister of India from 1964 until his death in 1966. He is best known for promoting the White Revolution, which transformed India into one of the largest milk producers. His leadership during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and his famous slogan "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" (Hail the Soldier, Hail the Farmer) emphasized the importance of both the military and agriculture for the nation. Shastri was respected for his integrity and commitment to peace, and he played a significant role in shaping India's post-independence policies until his untimely death in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
