Kwanza Hall (Kwanzaa)
Kwanza Hall, often associated with Kwanzaa, is not an official term related to the holiday. Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration, observed from December 26 to January 1, which honors African heritage and culture. It was created in 1966 by Maulana Karenga to reinforce community values and unity among African Americans. The celebration includes daily rituals, such as lighting a kinara (candle holder) and discussing the seven principles of Kwanzaa, known as the Nguzo Saba. These principles emphasize values like unity, self-determination, and collective responsibility, fostering a sense of community and cultural pride.
