Kurdish forces
Kurdish forces are armed groups composed mainly of Kurdish fighters, who are an ethnic group primarily living in regions spanning Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Iran. They have formed various militias and political organizations to defend Kurdish communities, gain autonomy, and combat extremist groups like ISIS. Notable Kurdish forces include the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK), the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the Peshmerga in Iraq. While they often receive support from international allies, their primary goal is to protect Kurdish interests, promote regional stability, and seek political recognition and autonomy within the countries they inhabit.
