Kingdom of Bavaria

The Kingdom of Bavaria was a historical state in central Europe, formed in the early medieval period and becoming a kingdom in 1806. It was part of the German Empire from 1871 until the end of World War I in 1918. Renowned for its culture, including festivals like Oktoberfest, traditional attire, and distinct cuisine, Bavaria is also characterized by its beautiful landscapes, including the Alps. After the monarchy was abolished, Bavaria became a federal state in modern Germany, retaining a strong regional identity within the country.
