Khufu's ship

Khufu's ship, also known as the Khufu solar barque, is an ancient Egyptian vessel discovered near the Great Pyramid of Giza, believed to have belonged to Pharaoh Khufu, who reigned around 2580–2560 BCE. The ship, made from cedar wood, was intended to carry Khufu in the afterlife and symbolize his journey with the sun god Ra. Unearthed in 1954, it is one of the oldest intact ships ever found, showcasing advanced ancient Egyptian shipbuilding techniques. The vessel highlights the cultural significance of the afterlife in ancient Egypt and reflects the pharaoh's power and divine connection.
