Kernel Panic

A kernel panic is a critical error that occurs in an operating system, particularly in Unix-like systems such as Linux and macOS. It happens when the system’s core, called the kernel, encounters a serious problem it cannot resolve, like a flaw in software or hardware failure. When this happens, the operating system stops functioning to prevent further damage or data loss, often displaying an error message or screen. Essentially, a kernel panic is the computer's way of saying it has encountered a major issue that requires a restart to recover.
