Kepler's Supernova (SN 1604)
Kepler's Supernova, also known as SN 1604, was a powerful stellar explosion observed in 1604 by astronomer Johannes Kepler. It was the last supernova seen in our galaxy, the Milky Way, and was bright enough to be visible during the day for several weeks. This explosion marked the death of a massive star, which collapsed under its own gravity, leading to a dramatic release of energy. The remnant of this explosion, called a supernova remnant, is still visible today and provides valuable information about the life cycle of stars and the expansion of the universe.
