Kaluza-Klein Theory
Kaluza-Klein theory is a concept in theoretical physics that attempts to unify gravity and electromagnetism by adding extra dimensions to our understanding of the universe. Originally proposed by Theodor Kaluza and later expanded by Oskar Klein, it suggests there are more dimensions than the familiar three of space and one of time—specifically, a tiny, curled-up fifth dimension. In this framework, forces like gravity and electromagnetism emerge from the geometry of these extra dimensions, providing a more comprehensive view of the fundamental interactions in nature. Essentially, it’s a way to connect different fundamental forces through higher-dimensional space.
