Jumping

Jumping is a movement where a person or object propels itself upward and often forward or in a specific direction by exerting force against the ground or surface beneath it. This action involves contracting muscles, especially in the legs, to generate enough power to lift the body off the ground. As the force pushes against the surface, Newton’s third law says the surface pushes back with equal force, launching the jumper into the air. Jumping is used in many activities, from sports and exercise to natural movements like escaping danger or reaching for something higher.
