JAK3
JAK3 is a protein involved in signaling pathways within our immune system. It helps transmit signals from certain receptors on immune cells, especially those using cytokines (messenger molecules), to the cell’s interior, prompting the cells to grow, divide, or respond to invaders. Proper JAK3 function is essential for healthy immune responses. When JAK3 is defective or blocked, it can lead to immune deficiencies or reduce inflammation, which is why JAK3 inhibitors are being explored as treatments for autoimmune diseases and certain cancers.
