Intergovernmental Organizations

Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) are entities created by multiple countries to work together on common issues and goals. They provide a platform for countries to collaborate on challenges like trade, security, health, and the environment. Examples include the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, and NATO. IGOs facilitate dialogue, promote peace, and create rules that countries agree to follow, helping to manage international relations. Each member state retains its sovereignty while benefiting from collective action and shared resources among the group.
