Infinitism
Infinitism is a philosophical theory about knowledge and justification. Unlike Foundationalism, which argues that knowledge must rest on certain foundational beliefs, or Coherentism, which suggests that beliefs are justified by their coherence with each other, Infinitism maintains that justifying beliefs can be an endless chain. This means that for every belief we hold, we can always provide further reasons or justifications, leading to an infinite series of supporting arguments. Thus, knowledge is not based on fixed foundations or a closed system but is perpetually open to further justification.
