Inductive-Statistical model
The Inductive-Statistical model in scientific explanation suggests that we can explain phenomena by observing patterns and regularities in data. Essentially, it proposes that if certain conditions are met frequently under specific circumstances, we can infer that similar outcomes will occur in the future. This method relies on statistical relationships rather than strict laws. For instance, if most observed swans are white, we might conclude that all swans are white, while acknowledging that this is only a statistical generalization, not an absolute certainty.
