
Imam Al-Shafi'i
Imam Al-Shafi'i was a prominent Islamic scholar and jurist from the 8th and 9th centuries, known for founding one of the four main Sunni legal schools, called the Shafi'i school. He emphasized the importance of the Quran and Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad) as primary sources of Islamic law, alongside consensus and reasoning. His systematic approach helped organize Islamic jurisprudence, making legal decisions more consistent. Al-Shafi'i's teachings continue to influence millions of Muslims worldwide, promoting a balanced and scholarly approach to understanding and applying Islamic principles.
