IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons)
Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are individuals who have been forced to leave their homes due to conflict, violence, natural disasters, or human rights violations but remain within their country's borders. Unlike refugees, who cross international borders to seek safety, IDPs have not relocated outside their home country. They often face significant challenges, including lack of basic services, security, and support. IDPs are protected under international law, yet their situations can be precarious, as they may struggle to regain stable living conditions, access aid, and integrate back into society.
