Internal displacement in Syria

Internal displacement in Syria refers to the phenomenon of people being forced to leave their homes but remaining within the country's borders due to conflict, violence, or natural disasters. Since the Syrian civil war began in 2011, millions have fled their homes in search of safety, often moving to less stable or makeshift areas. As of now, there are over 6 million internally displaced people in Syria. These individuals face numerous challenges, including inadequate shelter, lack of adequate food and healthcare, and psychological trauma, while struggling to rebuild their lives amid ongoing instability and uncertainty.
