Ibadi Islam
Ibadi Islam is one of the three main branches of Islam, alongside Sunni and Shia. It originated in the early Islamic period, particularly among the followers of Abdullah ibn Ibadh. Ibadis emphasize a moderate, pragmatic approach to faith and governance, advocating for religious tolerance and community consensus. They believe in the importance of personal piety and moral integrity and do not view themselves as a separate sect but rather as a continuation of the early Muslim community. Predominantly found in Oman, Ibadism highlights a distinct interpretation of Islamic teachings and legal thought.
