IAM roles

IAM Roles, or Identity and Access Management Roles, are a way to manage who can access certain resources in a computer system, especially in cloud environments like AWS or Azure. Think of them as job descriptions that define what actions a user or application can perform. For example, a role might allow an application to read data from a database but not change it. By using roles, organizations can enhance security and ensure only the right people or services have the appropriate level of access to sensitive information or critical resources.
