
Hugh Latimer
Hugh Latimer (c. 1485-1555) was an English preacher and reformer during the Protestant Reformation. Known for his powerful sermons advocating for religious reform and the authority of the Bible, he played a significant role in promoting Protestant beliefs in England. Latimer was a key figure in the spread of Protestant ideas and was associated with figures like Thomas Cranmer. He was ultimately martyred for his faith, burned at the stake during the reign of Queen Mary I, which solidified his legacy as a symbol of courage and conviction in the struggle for religious freedom.
