Holy Alliance
The Holy Alliance was a coalition formed in 1815 by Russia, Austria, and Prussia after the Napoleonic Wars, aimed at promoting Christian values and maintaining stability in Europe. They agreed to support each other's monarchies and oppose revolutionary ideas that threatened monarchies and traditional order. The alliance reflected a shared desire to preserve conservative principles and prevent liberal or nationalist movements from spreading, ultimately fostering a framework for mutual assistance and cooperation among these conservative powers. However, it also limited political change and reform, reinforcing existing monarchies in Europe.
