Hickey
A hickey, often referred to as a "love bite," is a bruise caused by kissing or sucking on the skin, usually on the neck or arms. When the skin is pressed hard, small blood vessels (capillaries) may break, resulting in discoloration. Hickeys typically appear red or purple and fade over time. While they are generally harmless, they can be a source of embarrassment, especially in social or professional settings. The duration of the mark can vary from a few days to two weeks, depending on individual healing and skin type.
