Heinrich Bullinger

Heinrich Bullinger (1504-1575) was a prominent Swiss Reformed theologian and pastor during the Protestant Reformation. After the death of reformer Ulrich Zwingli, Bullinger became the leader of the Zurich church and helped shape the Reformed tradition. He is best known for his extensive writings, including the "Second Helvetic Confession," which outlined key Protestant beliefs. Bullinger emphasized God's sovereignty, the importance of Scripture, and the need for a moral life. His efforts in education, pastoral care, and promoting inter-Reformed dialogue significantly influenced Protestantism, particularly in Switzerland and beyond.
