Harald Hardrada
Harald Hardrada was a Viking king of Norway, known for his fierce military prowess and ambition in the 11th century. Born around 1015, he gained fame as a warrior in the Byzantine Empire before returning to Norway to claim the throne. In 1066, he attempted to take control of England, believing he had a rightful claim. His invasion ended in defeat at the Battle of Stamford Bridge, where he was killed. This marked a significant moment in history, as it weakened Viking power in England and paved the way for the Norman Conquest later that year.
