handwashing
Handwashing is a process of cleaning your hands to remove dirt, bacteria, and viruses that can cause illness. To do it effectively, wet your hands with clean water, apply soap, and scrub all surfaces, including between fingers and under nails, for at least 20 seconds. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean towel or air dry. Proper handwashing reduces the spread of germs, protecting both yourself and others from infections. It’s especially important before eating, after using the bathroom, or when hands are visibly dirty.
