Hair Follicle Testing

Hair follicle testing is a method used to detect substances, such as drugs or alcohol, in a person's body by analyzing a small sample of their hair. When substances are consumed, they enter the bloodstream and can be deposited in growing hair. By cutting a small section of hair close to the scalp, technicians can test for traces of these substances over a longer period, typically up to 90 days. This type of testing is often used in workplaces, legal situations, and rehabilitation programs to provide a comprehensive view of a person's substance use history.
