The Great Blue Hole is a large underwater sinkhole located near Belize in the Caribbean Sea. It is approximately 300 meters (about 1,000 feet) across and over 125 meters (about 410 feet) deep. Formed during the last Ice Age, it is known for its stunning circular shape and striking blue color when viewed from above. The site is popular among divers for its rich marine life, including sharks and colorful corals. The Great Blue Hole is part of the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is celebrated for its ecological significance and natural beauty.
