GPS Accuracy
GPS accuracy refers to how precisely a GPS device can determine your location. Ideally, modern GPS can pinpoint a position within about 5 meters (16 feet) under good conditions. However, various factors affect accuracy, such as the number of satellites in view, atmospheric conditions, and physical obstructions like buildings or trees. Enhanced systems, like Differential GPS (DGPS), can improve accuracy to within a meter or less. Overall, while GPS is generally reliable for navigation, its precision can vary depending on the environment and technology used.
