Gorillas

Gorillas are large, ground-dwelling primates native to Africa, belonging to the family Hominidae, which includes humans. They are the largest living primates and are known for their intelligence, strong social bonds, and complex behaviors. Gorillas primarily eat plants, such as leaves, stems, and fruit. There are two main species: the Eastern gorilla and the Western gorilla, both of which are critically endangered due to habitat loss and poaching. Gorillas live in groups led by a dominant male, known as a silverback, who protects and guides the family. Their conservation is vital for maintaining ecosystem balance.
