Fstab

Fstab, short for "file systems table," is a configuration file in Unix-like operating systems that contains information about disk drives and partitions. It specifies how and where these file systems should be mounted into the system's directory structure at boot time or when requested. Each entry in fstab details the device, the mount point, the file system type, and options for mounting. This allows the operating system to automatically access different storage devices, like hard drives or USB drives, ensuring they are ready for use without manual intervention.
