Framework Convention

A Framework Convention is an agreement between countries to address a specific issue, often related to environmental or health challenges. It sets out broad guidelines and goals but allows countries the flexibility to create their own laws or regulations to meet these objectives. An example is the Framework Convention on Climate Change, which focuses on tackling global warming. By establishing a common foundation, these conventions encourage international cooperation, enabling countries to work together while respecting their individual circumstances and capacities.
