Flora MacDonald was a Scottish Jacobite heroine of the 18th century, famous for helping Prince Charles Edward Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie) escape after the failed 1745 uprising. She risked her life to disguise him as her housekeeper and smuggle him off the island of Benbecula to safety. Her bravery and compassion made her a celebrated figure in Scottish history, symbolizing loyalty and resilience. Despite her daring efforts, she was later imprisoned for a time but remained a respected and admired figure for her courageous act of loyalty and humanitarianism.
