Flavor Profiles
Flavor profiles refer to the combined sensations and characteristics that define how a food or drink taste experience unfolds. They include elements like sweetness, bitterness, sourness, saltiness, and umami, as well as aromas and textures that influence our perception of flavor. Understanding a flavor profile helps identify the unique qualities of products—such as the fruity notes in wine or the spicy kick in a dish—allowing for better appreciation, pairing, and selection. Essentially, it's a way to describe the complexity and richness of what we're tasting beyond just "good" or "bad."
