Field Theories

Field theories in high-energy physics describe fundamental forces and particles as fields spread across space and time. Rather than thinking of particles as isolated entities, we view them as excitations or disturbances in these fields. For example, the electromagnetic field is responsible for light and electricity, while the Higgs field gives mass to particles. These theories provide a framework to understand how particles interact, predicting outcomes of high-energy collisions, such as those in particle accelerators. Ultimately, field theories help us describe and unify the fundamental interactions that govern the behavior of the universe at its most basic level.
