Fascist Italy
Fascist Italy refers to the period from 1922 to 1943 when Italy was governed by a fascist regime led by Benito Mussolini. The government emphasized strong nationalism, authoritarianism, and the centralization of power. Mussolini aimed to create a totalitarian state, suppressing political opposition and promoting aggressive expansionist policies. The regime glorified military strength and sought to restore Italy’s historical greatness. It formed alliances with Nazi Germany and participated in World War II. Fascism in Italy ultimately collapsed after military defeats, leading to Mussolini's arrest and execution in 1945, marking the end of the fascist era.
