Faraday Cage
A Faraday cage is a structure made of conductive materials, like metal, that blocks electric fields and electromagnetic radiation. When an external electrical charge hits the cage, the charge redistributes itself along the cage's surface, preventing the inside from experiencing any electric field effects. This principle protects sensitive electronics from lightning strikes or EMI (electromagnetic interference). Faraday cages can be as simple as a metal mesh enclosure or as complex as shielded rooms, ensuring safety and preserving the functionality of devices from external electrical disturbances.
