Express Emancipation

Express emancipation refers to a legal process through which a minor (typically under 18) is granted the ability to live independently and make their own decisions, effectively ending parental control. This process usually requires the minor to demonstrate maturity and financial independence. In court, the minor must show they can support themselves and manage their own affairs. If granted, the minor gains the legal rights and responsibilities of an adult, including the ability to enter contracts, make medical decisions, and more, without needing parental consent.
