Euskadi
Euskadi, also known as the Basque Country, is an autonomous region in northern Spain with a distinct cultural identity and language, Euskara, one of the oldest in Europe. It comprises three provinces: Álava, Biscay, and Gipuzkoa. Euskadi has its own government, parliament, and significant degree of self-governance, especially in areas like education and health. The region is known for its rich traditions, strong industrial base, and scenic landscapes, including mountains and coastlines. Historically, the Basque people have sought greater autonomy or independence, making Euskadi a unique blend of regional pride and cultural preservation within Spain.
