Energy Homeostasis

Energy homeostasis is the body's process of maintaining a stable balance between the energy it takes in from food and the energy it uses for activities and bodily functions. When we eat, our bodies convert food into energy, which fuels everything from breathing to exercise. If we consume more energy than we use, the excess is stored as fat; if we use more than we consume, we tap into these stored reserves. This delicate balance is crucial for overall health, as disruptions can lead to weight gain, obesity, or unintentional weight loss and related health issues.
