Electromechanical television

Electromechanical television is an early form of television technology that combines electrical and mechanical components to display images. Developed in the 1920s and 1930s, it used a spinning disk called a "Nipkow disk" to scan images line by line, which were then transmitted and reconstructed on a screen. This system allowed for low-resolution images and was eventually replaced by fully electronic television systems that offered better quality. Electromechanical televisions mark an important step in the evolution of broadcasting and paved the way for modern television technology.
