Durruti Column

The Durruti Column was a group of anarchist fighters during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), named after revolutionary leader Buenaventura Durruti. Composed mainly of workers and volunteers, they fought against fascist forces supporting General Franco. The column operated independently from regular military forces, emphasizing decentralized decision-making, direct action, and social revolutionary ideals.
