Dual Aspects Theory
Dual Aspects Theory posits that the mind and the brain are two different perspectives of the same underlying reality. In the context of The Hard Problem of Consciousness, which questions how subjective experiences arise from physical processes, this theory suggests that consciousness cannot be fully explained by brain activity alone. Instead, it considers both mental and physical properties as vital to understanding experience. Both aspects coexist, with mental states being as real as physical states, helping to bridge the gap between neuroscience and our personal experiences of consciousness.
