Diocletian
Diocletian was a Roman emperor who ruled from 284 to 305 AD. He is best known for initiating significant reforms to stabilize and strengthen the Roman Empire during a period of crisis. Diocletian divided the empire into regions for better management and established the Tetrarchy, sharing power with three other rulers. He also reformed the tax system, improved the military, and issued the Edict on Prices to control inflation. His reign marked the end of the Crisis of the Third Century and set the stage for the later development of the Roman Empire.
