Deutsche Reichsbahn

Deutsche Reichsbahn was the state railway of Germany from 1920 to 1949. It operated the country's trains and was responsible for railway infrastructure, including tracks and stations. Originally part of the Weimar Republic, it later became intertwined with the Nazi regime, facilitating troop movements and the transportation of goods during World War II. After the war, the railway was split into two distinct entities: the Deutsche Bundesbahn in West Germany and the Deutsche Reichsbahn in East Germany. The latter continued operating until the reunification of Germany in 1990, after which it was integrated into the national railway company, Deutsche Bahn.
