Deep-frying

Deep-frying is a cooking method where food is submerged completely in hot oil, usually between 350°F and 375°F. This high temperature causes the moisture inside the food to vaporize quickly, creating a crispy exterior as the outer layer undergoes Maillard reactions. The hot oil also cooks the food evenly and rapidly from all sides. Proper deep-frying requires preheating the oil, careful control of temperature to prevent burning or oily greasiness, and usually results in a crunchy texture and rich flavor. It’s commonly used for foods like fried chicken, donuts, and French fries.
