Cysticerci

Cysticerci are the larval form of the tapeworm *Taenia solium*, which usually infects pigs. When people eat undercooked pork containing these larvae, the cysticerci can develop into adult tapeworms in the human intestines. In some cases, if these larvae migrate to human tissues, they can cause cysticercosis, a serious condition that affects the muscles, brain, and other organs. Symptoms may include seizures, headaches, or neurological issues. Proper cooking of pork and good hygiene practices can help prevent infections.
